Sports Testing
"My doctor told me I would never walk again. My mother told me I would. I chose to believe my mother." -Wilma Rudolph
Protecting Athletes and the Purity of Sport for over 20 Years
In 1990, Aegis began as an anti-doping laboratory to support successes achieved without the use of performance enhancing drugs. Today, we continue our mission to promote purity in sport by dedicating our sports testing laboratory to the memory of Wilma Rudolph. Her life is an example of fair competition and devotion to excellence and is a continuing inspiration to us all.

Wilma Glodean Rudolph demonstrated firsthand that purity of the body, power of the mind and the will to overcome pain can result in triumph over adversity.

Educating Athletes Everywhere

Taylor Hooton Foundation, an anti-steroid foundation that helps protect athletes from the dangers of performance enhancing drugs, is the newest partner of Aegis Sciences Corporation in 2015. This partnership will arm young athletes with resources and information to ensure they compete clean.
The Taylor Hooton Foundation partners with many professional and collegiate sports organizations to educate young athletes, their parents and coaches about the dangers of performance enhancing drugs and other banned substances, including those potentially found in dietary supplements. Aegis provides an educational tool, Aegis Shield, which identifies banned substances and their aliases in more than 140,000 dietary supplements, prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs. Together, we have a unique opportunity to help spread a message about the dangers of appearance and performance enhancing drugs (APEDs) and the benefits of competing drug free.
