Aegis Sciences Inaugural “National Recovery Month”
Recovery Happens Together
National Recovery Month celebrates the strength, resilience, and hope of individuals in recovery and the communities that support them. This year’s art show theme, “Recovery Happens Together,” reflects a simple but powerful belief: recovery is strongest when people, healthcare providers, families, and communities work together
At Aegis Sciences, our mission is to help clinicians make informed decisions that support better patient care. Every day, our testing insights help healthcare providers guide treatment plans, support medication adherence and safety, and improve outcomes for individuals navigating recovery and behavioral health challenges. Through this art show, we invite participants to explore the question:
Why Does My Work Matter?
Whether you interact directly with patients or support the work behind the scenes, your contributions play a role in helping individuals achieve healthier lives. We encourage artists to reflect on how their work, experiences, and relationships contribute to recovery, healing, support, and community.
Through art, we hope to celebrate the many ways recovery happens together and recognize the collective impact we make in supporting those on their recovery journey.
Artwork Submission Criteria
Theme – Recovery Happens Together
Artwork should reflect the power of connection, support systems, resilience, healing, recovery, and community. Artists are encouraged to explore how their work contributes to helping clinicians make informed decisions, supporting patients on their recovery journeys, and strengthening the communities we serve.
Eligible Media
Submissions must be original works in one of the following two-dimensional formats:
- Drawing, Painting, Digital Art, Photography
Artwork Requirements
- Maximum size: 12″ x 18″ or 18″ x 18″
- Two-dimensional artwork only
- Created on paper, poster board, canvas
- Must be suitable for workplace display
- Must be the original work of the submitting artist
- Digital art and photography submissions must be provided in a high-resolution format suitable for printing and display and follow photography guidelines
Photography Guidelines
To protect privacy and maintain confidentiality, photographs that include identifiable individuals must be submitted only with appropriate permission.
- Do not submit photographs of patients, clients, providers, or other individuals without their consent.
- Any photograph featuring recognizable people should have permission from those individuals before submission.
- Artwork must not contain protected health information (PHI), confidential patient information, or sensitive personal information.
We encourage photographers to capture themes of community, hope, resilience, support, and recovery while respecting the privacy and dignity of all individuals.
Artist Statement (Optional)
Artists may include a brief statement (100-200 words) describing:
- The inspiration behind their piece
- How the artwork relates to the theme “Recovery Happens Together”
- Why their work matters in supporting patients, clinicians, and the recovery community
Judging Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
- Alignment with the theme
- Creativity and originality
- Visual impact
- Artistic execution
- Reflection of recovery, community support, and the Aegis mission
Awards
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- Best Overall Submission
- Most Inspirational
- People’s Choice Award (voted on by Aegis team members)
- Most Creative Interpretation of the Theme
Prize details will be announced prior to voting. Winners will receive recognition across Aegis internal communication channels during National Recovery Month celebrations.
Winner Announcement
Winners will be announced on September 30, 2026, as part of Aegis’s National Recovery Month observance. Selected artwork may also be featured in company communications, social media channels, and future National Recovery Month awareness initiatives.
Submission Information
Remote team members are encouraged to participate!
Participants may choose one of the following submission options:
- Mail or deliver original artwork to Aegis for display in the art show. Please ensure that artwork arrives by the submission deadline.
- Submit a high-quality photograph or digital file of your artwork by emailing it to marketing@aegislabs.com no later than midnight (CT) on September 24, 2026.
For digital submissions:
- Include the artwork title and artist name.
- Attach your optional artist statement.
- Photos should be clear, well-lit, and high resolution to ensure the artwork can be properly displayed and judged.
