Research Scientist
The Research Scientist is responsible for developing new methods and improving existing processes for the Aegis laboratory. The selected individual will serve as a consultant on method problems and assist in the training of laboratory team members on instrumentation use, methods application and the fundamentals of analytical chemistry. The Research Scientist will work with GC/MS and LC/MS/MS instrumentation, among other technologies as needed, and discuss research findings and results with other technical staff. This individual will take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualified candidates for this position must have:
- A Master of Science or Ph.D. in pharmaceutical, analytical chemistry, or toxicology sciences
- Previous experience in forensic analysis strongly preferred
- At least 5 years experience working in a research and development function
- Experience with GC/MS and LC/MS/MS instrumentation
