Human Resources Director
The Human Resources Director is responsible for directing strategy development, planning and administrative management of all areas of Human Resources including but not limited to Benefits, Compensation, Recruitment, Talent Management, Employee Relations and Recruitment. Additionally, the HR Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining standards focusing on effective translation of strategy into operational objectives and specific, measurable goals supporting the overall mission, vision and values of the organization.
Essential Duties Include:
- Provides leadership in development, implementation and evaluation of services, programs and practices that support the organization’s overall goals and objectives
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate a variety of training programs associated with Human Resources processes, policies, procedures and transactions to ensure understanding for equitable application
- Develops operational and financial outcome measures, related tracking and monitoring systems and a mechanism to integrate efforts into organization-wide Quality Improvement systems
- Facilitates the professional growth of staff by accurately assessing learning needs, styles and barriers to learning; coordinates learning opportunities
- Prepares monthly progress/operational report; identifies areas of improvement, concern and recommended improvement plan
- Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards
- Develops and supervises staff through provision of timely feedback and use of appropriate Human Resource policies and tools to facilitate and ensure the ability of staff to achieve highest level of professional growth and desired performance standards
- Plans, develops and directs administration of compensation programs; prepares recommendations from analysis of market trends for adjustments to salaries, benefits and other total compensation programs
- In collaboration with the Benefits Specialist, develops specifications for new benefit plan offerings and/or modifications to exiting plans
- Reviews all communication materials and documentation including original and amended texts, agreements and policies for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with all provisions of the plan
- Participates in a variety of department and industry educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor
- Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance program/initiatives
Qualified Candidates Must Possess:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or closely related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute; Master’s degree preferred, Active PHR or SPHR certification required
· At least 8 years previous professional Human Resources experience in a leadership position with responsibility for development and implementation of strategic Human Resource programs, policies and practices; previous healthcare experience preferred
