The Forensic Special Chemist performs chemical extractions to analyze each sample for the presence of drugs. Standard lab techniques utilized include, but are not limited to: Liquid-Liquid Extraction, Solid-Phase Extraction, Dissolution, pH, and various wet chemistry techniques.
Successful candidates for this role must:
· Possess a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field with a strong proficiency in the use of scientific laboratory techniques, equipment and materials relating to performing chemical extractions
· Be proficient in time management and organizational skills
