Desktop Support Technician
The Desktop Support Technician is the first point of contact for IT Helpdesk requests. This position is responsible for installing, modifying and making minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, as well as providing technical advice and support to system users. Candidates for this role must be available for quarterly rotating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
- CompTIA A+ Hardware and Microsoft MCP certification or equivalent experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP
- Working knowledge of Information Systems Security principles
- 2 years experience providing desktop support
